Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Looking for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies in Cyprus?

We have no Cavalier King Charles Spaniel litter at the moment. Message us and we will come back to you with the price and the expected arrival date as soon as the next one is confirmed.

Under EU rules a puppy can only travel to you from about 15 weeks old, so it is worth asking early.

About the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Toy spaniels were the lapdogs of the English court, and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel wears that history openly — the Blenheim chestnut-and-white pattern is named after the Duke of Marlborough’s house. But the breed was drawn from sporting stock, and it shows. A Cavalier will curl up against you for an hour, then chase a butterfly across the garden with complete conviction.

Temperament is why most people choose one. The standard asks for affection and complete fearlessness with no nervous edge, and a well-bred Cavalier delivers exactly that: sociable with strangers, patient with children, untroubled by other dogs. If you want a small dog that is genuinely soft rather than sharp, this is it.

The flip side is that Cavaliers are poor at being alone. They were bred for centuries to sit in company, and one left by himself all day will be miserable. Think honestly about your working hours before you commit.

Care is modest: up to an hour of walking, and brushing several times a week with attention behind the ears and on the feathering, where mats start. They shed, so expect some hair. An apartment suits them.

In Cyprus, keep summer walks to the cooler ends of the day — a medium coat and a shortish muzzle make heat harder work than it looks.

Origin, purpose and temperament follow the official FCI breed standard; exercise, grooming and family suitability follow The Royal Kennel Club (UK). Every puppy is an individual — ask us about the one you are considering.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose a puppy?

You can browse our current litters on the website, or tell us which breed you are looking for. We are happy to send additional photos and videos on WhatsApp, and to answer any questions about a particular puppy before you decide.

How does the reservation process work?

Once you have chosen your puppy, we send you a written confirmation. It sets out the puppy’s details, the total price, the deposit, what is included, and the expected arrival period.

The reservation becomes final once the deposit has been received and we have confirmed it in writing. We issue a receipt for the deposit. Until then, a puppy is not held.

The deposit is typically between €300 and €500, depending on the puppy. The remaining balance is paid at handover, unless we agree otherwise in writing, and a final invoice is issued when the purchase is completed. The exact amounts and payment details are confirmed individually in your written confirmation.

We keep you updated while your puppy is being prepared, and we contact you again before the arrival to arrange the handover.

What is included in the price?

The price of each puppy is set out in your written confirmation, which is the definitive list for your puppy. It normally covers the veterinary preparation, identification, documentation and transport described below:

  • Microchip identification — the puppy is microchipped before travelling, and the number is recorded in its documents.
  • Vaccinations — those appropriate to the puppy’s age, together with the rabies vaccination required for the journey. EU rules do not allow the rabies vaccination before 12 weeks of age, and the puppy may travel 21 days after it, so the earliest a puppy can reach you is at around 15 weeks.
  • Regular deworming — anti-parasite treatment on the schedule appropriate to the puppy’s age.
  • Examination by our own veterinarian — a clinical examination before the puppy is prepared for travel.
  • Official veterinary inspection — a further check by an authorised veterinarian, who confirms that the puppy is fit for the journey.
  • Full documentation — the microchip number, the vaccinations, the anti-parasite treatments and the pre-travel examination are entered in the puppy’s individual EU pet passport, which is handed to you together with the puppy.
  • Travel arrangements — we organise the journey to Cyprus. Transport onward from the handover point is arranged separately on request.
  • Personal escort — your puppy travels in the care of an attendant who holds a certificate of competence issued under EU Regulation 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport.
  • TRACES and administration — the international movement is registered in the EU TRACES animal health system, and we handle all the associated paperwork.

The veterinary preparation and documents are described in more detail in the next question. Anything not listed in your written confirmation is not included.

What veterinary care and documents does the puppy receive?

Every puppy is identified with a microchip and receives age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming before travelling to Cyprus.

Within 48 hours before departure, the puppy undergoes an official veterinary identity and clinical examination. The veterinarian verifies the microchip and documentation and confirms that the puppy shows no clinical signs of disease and is fit for the intended journey.

Each puppy has an individual EU Pet Passport containing important identification and veterinary information, including:

  • the puppy’s description and date of birth;
  • the microchip number;
  • vaccination records;
  • anti-parasite treatment records;
  • details of the authorised veterinarian;
  • the pre-travel clinical examination.

The journey to Cyprus is officially documented through the EU TRACES animal health system.

How does the handover work?

We contact you before the puppy’s arrival to confirm the handover arrangements.

At handover, you can meet and inspect your puppy and review the accompanying EU Pet Passport. We complete and sign the Puppy Sale Agreement, and the remaining balance is paid.

You receive:

  • your puppy;
  • the puppy’s EU Pet Passport;
  • the signed Puppy Sale Agreement;
  • the final sales invoice;
  • a puppy care information guide.

The care guide provides practical information about feeding, everyday care and the puppy’s first days in its new home.

If you need assistance with transportation, please contact us in advance so we can discuss the available options.

What if you do not currently have the breed I am looking for?

Tell us which breed you have in mind. We work with a wide range of breeds, and we will let you know about current and upcoming availability.

What support do I get after my puppy comes home?

You are welcome to contact us with any questions as your puppy settles in. The puppy care guide you receive at handover covers feeding, everyday care and the first days at home.
